Default Minor problem....Can\'t access \'manual\' from session...

Not a huge deal at all, but for some reason, my ProTools Reference Guide won't open from 'Help' within a session. I can only go to the Digidesign folder, where it will open.
Anybody else have this happen, or maybe have a solution?

thanks, Roy

Oh, I know you guys are here, Swap, which is so cool. But I don't want to post every little question I have (aah, you know what I mean). It's funny, but I think it's only done this since the move to XP.
Like I said, not a huge deal though. I'll leave this up just for a while to see if anybody has any ideas....... thanks, Roy

I had that happen once, but a reboot fixed it.

thanks Jopry...as of now, it's permanent on my pc. I've needed it a few different times, and same thing each time.

In order to be accessed from the Pro Tools Help menu, it needs to be located in the "Release Notes & Documentation" directory, and it needs to be named exactly the same as the original:
PT Reference Guide.pdf

If you download PDFs from the Technical Documents Library, they will be renamed for internet downloads and versions, such as the most recent version of the reference guide:
www.digidesign.com/support/docs

Pro Tools Reference Guide (10.4 MB)
Version 6.0 for TDM or LE Systems on Macintosh
Version 5.3.x for TDM or LE Systems on Windows or Macintosh
Version 5.1.x for MIX or LE Systems on Macintosh

The downloaded PDF is named:
PT_6.0_Reference_Guide.pdf

Rename it:
PT Reference Guide.pdf

and place it in the Release Notes & Documentation folder, and it should show up in the Help menu.

Path could have changed
especially if you switched from 98 to XP.
Like digi said just move the pdf's over and make sure the names are right.
You probably figured that out already so I hope
I am not being redundant.
