Don't let it not being affiliated with Avid mean anything; it's a great utility that makes things quick and relatively painless. And there is an option to save things before you delete them in case you want or need to go back. Of course it can't be tested with all Macs because this is just one person who wrote this and maintains it and everyone knows that.

Thank you for all your helpful suggestions. I have tried everything but nothing changes. My last effort was a clean uninstall and installed 3.9. No change even when using different interfaces. I am taking my laptop to Mac to eliminate the Laptop as the problem. I am going to start a new thread to see if anyone else is having similar problems. I hope Avid will re-think their charging for Email support as they are loosing customers and credibility. This is the only company I have ever heard of who charges for Email support, especially for a product that is so buggy and expensive! I have started using another multi- track program for the studio but now getting ProTools to work has just become a challenge! Thank you fellow users for the support that Avid doesn't supply!
