how to get settings from inactive plugins
Hello, I have to open old sessions containing virtual instruments plugs like FM8. In preview protools version, the vst to rtas was used to handle that. In my environement I have to use Patchwork to open equivalents virtual instruments. As the root plug are differents, opening original sessions in my new protools environement will logicaly put the plugs as inactive even if the virtual instrument at the back are the same.
This is my question : In protools is it possible (and how) to get the settings from an inactive plug in to solve this issue ? Thanks for your help. Last edited by Yannoa; 07-10-2017 at 04:14 PM. |

Re: how to get settings from inactive plugins
Depends if any custom presets were saved; if that was done using PT's save mechanism then those settings might be available in the new plugin.
