Default S3 and Automation Snapshots

It doesn't say anything about it in the manual...

Snapshots like Eucon automation snapshots?

It's referring to recalling snapshots for live sound if you're using the Venue software. I assume your using the S3 for studio work?

I use it for studio work.
But this is from the ProTools website.

http://www.avid.com/US/products/ProToolsS3/features

It would sound a bit weird as advertising for live mixers:

Quote:
...you get the tactile control you need to create great sounding mixes faster—with much more precision than working with a keyboard and mouse alone.
which I don't think you can even do with the Venue Software...

Maybe they mean layouts?

Well the 48 Automation Snapshots on the Icon are are really cool feature. If they advertise it for the S3 they should put it in.

I just want to know what AVID means by that if they advertise it as a key feature.
A way of recalling snapshots like they are implemented in Eucon.

Do you use Eucon and know what I'm talking about?

So, how else would you interpret the advertisement? Automation Snapshots is feature build into PT but only accessible via control surfaces. Though it needn't necessarily be 48 snapshots, I would suspect to find the basically same functionality on the S3 if advertised.

Well, it's probably one of those not yet implemented features.
