Osx 10.13.3
So Avid still says the last aproved OS is 10.13.3
does anyone know where I can find an install for that. I can only find Updaters and combo updates for 10.13.3. Still running 10.12.6 here but I hate being 2 OS X releases behind Thanks |

however most of us find that 10.13.6 is just fine with 2018

Re: Osx 10.13.3
The Problem with 10.13.6 low latency recording of more tracks with hdx does not work and result in error messages... And if you use audio tracks with input monitoring for using instrument tracks with heat cause 9173 and similar errors...but not in Sierra...
Which thread are refering to... I use 10.13.6 and i want to go back to 10.13.3 with a new installation...thanks |

Avid are taking their sweet time to fix it but there have been issues with armed tracks in pro tools as far as i can remember, especially at low latency. it just doesn't perform like other DAWs, and all avid do is either blame plugin devs or apple. It's really frustrating.

Re: Osx 10.13.3
For me it runs with the same performance on 10.13.3 and 10.13.6, buffer sizes under 128 samples are non useable. A least on Vanilla PT.
In any case, if anyone needs a 10.13.3 full installer, I have a .torrent I can share. PM me.

Re: Osx 10.13.3
Oops I didn't mean that, I meant another err.. hmm. Well good luck finding the 10.13.3 installer !!!
PS: FWIW, regarding low buffer performance (cpu spikes and errors) I tried all the supposedly best builds from PT 12, here is my report: 12.4, same, 12.7.1, same. 12.8.3, 2018.2, 2018.7 and finally 2018.10 all the same. So... 2018.10 seems to be the keeper atm, while no improvement in that area. ---

Re: Osx 10.13.3
I recently got in touch with Apple support to see how to get a machine back to 10.13.3.
They said the official way is to do a fresh install following instructions from here and then install the 10.13.3 updater from here.

Re: Osx 10.13.3
.... in the mean time, I see notices about "Mojave".
Should we "desert" it?
