I can't hear track 2 as 1 is playing ????

Hello, heres my setup.....Macbook Pro 17" 2.33 Core 2 Duo 2gigs ram, Digi 003 factory, most current update for Mac OS X 10.4.11, most current update of
Protools LE, Glyph harddrive 350gb, using Line6 Vetta to record tracks 1 , 2...

Ok, I recorded track 1 using my Line6 Vetta ( I used direct outs of Vetta left and right into Digi 003 audio 1 & 2 ) the tracks play back fine. Now, for track 2 using Vetta outs same as above into Digi 003s Audio 3&4...I play and can hear audio on 3&4. But when I play what I redorded on Track 1
( audio 1&2) the audio on track 2 (audio on Digi003 2&3) cant be heard...nothing show on the meter for track two...I recorded track one is stereo, and trying to record track 2 pn stereo.

What am I doing wrong? Ive searched but cant find remedy...
Im trying to rehearsh/fine tune track guitar sound but cant hear anything and nothing shows on the meter....

Are you using input only monitoring? I have a Vetta II HD hooked up over spdif and love it!

Hit the green button that say "I" next to record. Input monitor only. Without that pressed, PT only lets you hear what you've already input. Hit the majic button and you hear the tracks you recorded and anything new you're trying to put down.

@andy, whats the difference in sound quality/advantage when using spdif and Vetta?Thanks again,

The I button is HD only. You either have to use the shortcut or select it from the menu.

You can use spdif to stay in the digital domain (no loss of quality) and it opens the door for the best features on the Vetta line. Re-amping and using the Vetta as an effects processor. I like re-amping and tweaking the effects/amp settings with automation. Not to mention if you want to cover your bases; you can use spdif to send a dry signal for re-amping and use the analog direct outs to capture the performance wet! They really are versatile amps.
