(strange) bug report
Hi,
Here is the thing : i was experiencing CPU overload error messages, especially when i was in recording mode (CPU jumps from 20% to 80-100%). Don't ask me how i discover that, but just by closing the edit window, the CPU goes from 80% to 40-50% max. CPU overuse happens when the edit window or the midi edit window is on the retina display whereas the mix window has no effect on the CPU. This problem is systematically reproducible. Moreover, if i use another screen, putting the edit window on the external screen and the mix window on the retina display, i have the same drop in CPU usage (from 80 to 40-50%). I hope it's clear enough. How is this possible as windows should be managed by the integrated graphics not the CPU ?? here is my system : - MacBook Pro retina 15' late-2013 Intel i7 quad core 2,6Ghz, 16 Go of ram, SSD 1 To PCIe (same model as in the new Mac Pro), Intel Iris Pro integrated graphics - ProTools 11.1.2 - Artist Mix - Mbox Pro 3 Last version of everything. (yes, i don't have an external hard drive, since using one - samsung 840 Pro 256Go with a USB3/SATA6 case - has no effect on the CPU load) |
