PT 11.1.2 video freezes

Hi guys,

I don't know if this problem has been reported yet (a quick search on these forums proved inconclusive).

Basically what is happening is the video will randomly freeze on a single frame on playback. It sometimes happens after a few seconds, sometime after a minute or two and sometimes (or rather rarely) not at all.
It does so with all kinds of video sizes and codec. I've increased the play start latency to the maximum value and decreased the video quality to best performance with little result. As I recall though, it didn't use to do that when I first upgraded to PT11. I suspect one of the recent updates could be the origin of the problem.

This is getting really annoying as I work with video almost all the time. I'd appreciate any ideas that could lead me to understand what's happening (and eventually how to fix this situation)!

Search this:" video issues pro tools 11 DUC" in google. The DUC search engine does not work....at least it hasn't for quite a while for me.

Thanks, I did that too, but I couldn't find a topic that quite matched my situation. I guess it mustn't be a very common one. Well, in the meantime, if someone comes up with an idea of a solution, let me know!
