\"Could not allocate disk space for recording\"
Why am I suddenly getting this message when I try to record? I'm just trying to record 1 track on a brand new song. The track is assigned to a disk drive with 2GB available. Protools is the only software running on a freshly re-booted system, with 256MB of RAM. I've had no problems working with a HUGE number of tracks before.
What could this be? Thanks, Fred |

Re: \"Could not allocate disk space for recording\"
OK, I de-fragmented my hard drive and now it works.
DigiDesign, could you please start making your error messages a little more informative/useful? Clearly the error message was generated because you were looking at more than just free space, it would be nice if you told people what you were looking at in the error message. Thanks, Fred |
