Default I/O Reset

I just reinstalled PT 10 due to an I/O issue i had mistakingly made. My input paths aren't listed and it will not allow me to create new ones causing a input path error message to pop every time i try to record enable any and all tracks. Im still kinda new to I/O setup and would really appreciate the help.

Go to I/O setup. Click each of the tabs, then click the "Default" button on each of the pages.

Just rockin'...what more is there?

A little "trick" to add to your bag: since a re-install of PT(or an update) often calls for an UNinstall, that can delete your settings under normal circumstances. I choose to create my own folder(on the desktop, but it can go anywhere) and store my IO and midi settings there. A complete removal of PT doesn't touch it so its easy to import the old settings into a fresh install

Almost forgot to add this; if your IO refuses to cooperate, double-check that the proper audio engine is still selected under Setup>Hardware

Here's one more "trick" for this. Open PT, but don't open a session. Go to Setup>IO and check the box for "Session overwrites IO settings"(or whatever its called) and open one of your recent sessions that has all the IO set and correct. Once the session is open, go back to Setup>IO and UNcheck that box.
