Re: Thank you UA!!
I've had this on my two Focusrite ISA 828's and a ISA1 for years and it really makes nice but subtle difference. Using different settings give mics different characteristics and you wouldn't believe it unless you get to really A/B it. It doesn't make a SM57 sound like a Neumann, but it makes you want to EQ less if you find a right combo.

Re: Thank you UA!!
Yeah, and maxing out my solo/laptop with only six mono instances of it was so frustrating .... the quality of new generation LA-2A and 1176 plugins, and the woeful inadequacy of the solo/laptop to run more than a few of each was what lead me to buy the Octo pci-e and Quad satelite.
I almost jumped on board to get more UAD processing power last year but just missed the deal where you could buy a 4-710d hardware unit and get an Octo card free ... that was a sweet deal but I missed it. Been hoping for something similar, but liked the $750 to spend on plugins well enough to go for it ;-)

Re: Thank you UA!!
Octo for $1499, and $750 worth of plugins, plus you get the UA 610, the Fairchild bundle, AND precision khz enhancer. Heaven is just a click away....somebody stop me. (I'm TOTALLY in the wrong place to say that, huh? )

Heaven is closer than a click for sure. But yeah can't fault them for their sound, just their DSP chip. Mesa - once you have logged into your account it should say you can download it.

Buy the Octo and you get the "analog classics plus bundle." I already have the 1176s, the Pultec, CS-1, LA2A, and Realverb, but what the hey.... http://www.uaudio.com/uad-plug-ins/a...us-bundle.html |

Re: Thank you UA!!
I have the page open and an empty Sweetwater credit card. Genuinely a "one-click" indulgence unless I find a way to talk myself out of it.
