I've had this on my two Focusrite ISA 828's and a ISA1 for years and it really makes nice but subtle difference. Using different settings give mics different characteristics and you wouldn't believe it unless you get to really A/B it. Yeah, and maxing out my solo/laptop with only six mono instances of it was so frustrating .... the quality of new generation LA-2A and 1176 plugins, and the woeful inadequacy of the solo/laptop to run more than a few of each was what lead me to buy the Octo pci-e and Quad satelite.

I almost jumped on board to get more UAD processing power last year but just missed the deal where you could buy a 4-710d hardware unit and get an Octo card free ... that was a sweet deal but I missed it. Been hoping for something similar, but liked the $750 to spend on plugins well enough to go for it ;-)

Heaven is closer than a click for sure.
