Update...some of them are fine. (DBX 160/SSL E-series/Precision Limiter/Lex 224)
SOME of them are giving me an "AAE 14018" error, though (all the 1167s, LA2A, IBP, CS-1). Anybody else? (Doing a re-install....)

Update: never mind. Did an uninstall-reinstall after re-downloading the installer. All is well, and now I will wrestle with spending more money...that MAAG EQ is calling my name.

why is $299 for the 1073 ridiculous? That's the normal price they charge for their high end plugins... also if you already own their legacy 1073 it's $149 plus they gave a $25 coupon so it's $124... Can't beat that.

To each its own I guess... it's by far the closest to a real 1073 on the market therefore well worth the money they are asking for imho
anyway, they added a new voucher as part of the release yesterday, maybe not for everyone not sure how the selection process works on these.

The new 1073 emulation is really dimensional compared to the legacy 1073. Using it this morning, it's pretty amazing! While the Legacy plug felt like a 80% emulation, the new one feels like it's well into the 90% range compared to my real pair of 1073s.

Love it!

Treason, I envy you that! Not many of us have the actual gear to make those comparisons (I for one don't have a Fairchild in my rack!) and it's nice to know that their "modeling" is that close. Thanks for that!

You may want to give it a try. It sounds amazingly good even if it is a DSP hog and it's a lot cheaper than £5000 for 2 real ones.

Seriously though I think they really have pushed the boat out on this one it sounds brilliant. (not saying it sounds as good as real ones I didn't have a pair handy to compare but plug ins just went up a notch IMHO )

Hey

Thanks for the info on the plugin. i had to try it out and as usual we bought the plugin whether or not we need it As we actually have loads of outboard gear and 2 full Lunchboxes along with approx 25 rack units of the nicest stuff so I can attest to the fact IT DOES sound EXTREMELY close to the original racked version. Have a matched pair here but will try to use this plugin more when working ITB

Again Thank You for the thoughts. Meant a lot.

There's usually a pair of 1081's here but they're out on tour at the mo, whilst not quite the same thing I can't wait to do a compare when they get back. My impression (from memory) is that this is whole lot closer than they got with the Manley Massive Passive (which isn't a bad plug in at all BTW)

They had you at "1073"
