Default Tips and Techniques Magazine?

Hey folks,

Would anyone know of any magazines or websites that has articles on recording/mixing/mastering tips or techniques. Just trying to learn some new stuff and refresh on some old stuff.

Thanks

A good place to start might be the Education link above. The DigiZine articles and the links on the Studio Covers articles pages will keep you busy for awhile, plus there are lots of other links to online magazines and other resources. I'll keep an eye on this thread for other suggestions to add.

Tape Op. they even offer a free US subscription at tapeop.com. They take you into a cool home basement studio in Idaho today, or into Olympic Studios in the 70's with the interviews, reviews, and responses to reader mail. There are articles from making and using a cheapo telephone mic to experiences by engineer/producer Phil Brown who has had me engrossed for the last year. This month he talks about recording Talk-talk's "Spirit of Eden". Brilliant intimate background on a brilliant album. Actually this month's issue is captivating on every page, wether you are Bruce Swedien waiting for his manicure or a newbie waiting for the coffee to drip.
