scrub tool - jumping away...

here's my problem :
I'm using the scrub tool to locate some glitches in the audio when dialogue editing: I can find the place where I wana edit with the scrub tool but as soon as I let go with the scrubber instead of staying where I left it, it jumps to some random location (well, to the blue dot in the TL (last playback position)
how can I make it stay where I stopped scrubbing, so I instantly can edit out the click?
