Default \"Couldn\'t allocate disk space for recording?\"

A new problem has cropped up: Every time we go to record in a new session, we get a screen which says "COULD NOT ALLOCATE DISC SPACE FOR RECORDING."

However, we have a sectored hard drive for recording and all three sectors are saying they have plenty of space. One even has 3.8 gigs available.

What's even more strange is that OLDER sessions will still record. The newer ones are the ones having the problem and brand new sessions won't record at all.

Any suggestions?

Look at the disk allocation menu. Are tracks assigned to the right harddisk?

If you use template session (stored as stationary)and you created this template on desktop for example (or anywhere on system drive) you'll get it. Change disk allocation or create a new template on drive you wish to record.
Hope this helps,
Przemek.

The disc allocation is defaulting to the G3 hard drive for all tracks. I can change it for each individual track, and it WILL record, so I'd like to thank you, Fokke van Saane, for your suggestion.

The only problem is that it never did that before; it would send the track to whichever sector was highlighted when the session began, or to whichever one was last opened if none were chosen.

Anyone know how I could get that default back?
