Default Focusrite ISA220

I'm trying to use the EQ, Compessor etc in the ISA 220 to tweak vocals after I've recorded them dry (without EQ compression etc) I know it can be done but I for the life of me can't figure out how to hook it up and how to set the session up to accomplish this. Any help would be appreciated.

Step 1-delete the other post as you posted twice(and only you can remove it by selecting Edit, scroll down and hit the Delete button).

The manual(help pdf) has all the info you need, but here's the condensed version: Go into the IO setup and click the Insert tab. Create a path that uses a matched pair of IO(as in Output 7 paired with Input 7). Go to your vocal track and click to add an insert(as if you are adding a plugin), but look BELOW where it says Plugin.

thanks for your reply albee. I will try that ......I really love the ISA220. BTW I can't find the delete button for step 1 in your reply. I hit the edit button, a new window comes up but no delete button in sight~

Hmmm, I am seeing the same lack of a delete option now(it used to be there...honestly). I suggest going to that thread, hit the edit button and change the title to "moderator, please delete"

I have the ISA-428 and know what you mean about the quality, though your box has lots more goodies to offer. Be aware that running hardware inserts will require a bit of latency correction, due to the round trip path out(convert to analog) and back in(convert back to digital). I would do a little testing so you learn how much offset you need to enter in the hardware delay compensation(last tab in the IO setup window)
