PT 2018.1 crash & fix
Has anyone else noticed this situation? I open a session, and when I hit the play button, it's all crackly and low volume with lots of hesitations. So I go to the Playback Engine & change the value to anything other than what it's set to. Close the window, hit the play button, and all is well. I do have Elastic Audio enabled and seem to remember an issue with the playback engine.

I have found this happens if you have interface or USB issues but it depends on your system, interface, etc.

happens from time to time .. and has been happening for quite awhile now .. not exactly sure when this started but Avid has not found a comprehensive solution yet ..
toggling Buffer usually fixes it for me ..
