Default Clip gain animation lag!

Hey everyone!

So am using PT 12.7HD, I am noticing a lag whenever I use Shift+Ctrl+Mouse Scroll Up/Down to increase/decrease clip gain.

I scroll quite fast and the waveform adjusts accordingly but is not instantaneous, it lag for a second and then jumps to the new waveform. This is not happening in Pro Tools 10HD which is installed on my mavericks machine and any other PT10HD build that I've tried.

Any idea why this graphics lag and how can I try eliminating? If it helps to know then I am running an ATI HD 5870 as my GFX card.

Please let me know if you need any other information?

Does the waveform follow the clip gain in the lower left corner nicely? Which OS are you on now? Here, the waveform seems to follow the clip gain info pretty well, but the info can also be a bit stuttery at times.

Never seen this before, but I use Shift+Ctrl+up/down arrows to adjust clip gain.

Yep sorry the same shortcut as yours but instead of the up/down arrows, I use the mouse scroll wheel. I am on Yosemite right now.

For me, the waveform redraw is very stuttery. The clip gain info in the lower left corner also stutters and jumps between values before reaching the final value.

Okay, then it seems like the waveform and clip gain info are "in sync", but the transition/update could be smoother. I estimate that the max amount of lag I've seen is about 200 ms when I scroll fast.

Any idea how I can get rid of it? It kinda bugs me whenever I adjust clip gain, also also I'm a pretty fast user so usually I would do 2-3 actions by the time clip finishes redraw and so PT12 lags for like half a sec every time this happens, which is every 2 mins i guess or lesser.

Doesn't happen on PT10HD that I also use on mavericks.

Hey Supersoundie, have you find any solution for this problem yet?, I am currently in the same situation and it is really annoying.
