HELP!!!!! I am using Protools m-powered on a pc. I know this is just a settings issue, so I'm not gonna do the whole Sandra report thing. Here is my dilemma... I am using a microkorg as a controller for this project. I have 1 midi track and 1 audio track set up for it. If I record enable the audio track it plays fine. If I step enter notes on the midi track, enable record on the audio track and record, works just fine. Now, here is the problem. I cannot for the life of me get the damn midi track to record real-time input. I did the midi thru thing. I did the disable midi merge thing. When I set the P.T. to wait for note record mode, as soon as I hit a key, fires right up. I know it's getting signal or it would not start/would not let me step enter notes. Can anyone please help me with this???? Also, I went through all of the settings I could on the microkorg (local on/off, changed midi channels, etc) to no avail. I know its not the korg. I also set P.T. midi machine control to recognize the korg. I have a feeling there is just one stupid checkbox somewhere that I am missing. Any help would be most helpful. Thank you all in advance.

Are you able to record MIDI notes at all? Do what you play show up as notes in the MIDI track, but you can't hear anything? Or, is the MIDI track empty?

yes, the midi track is enabled...i can record in step entry mode. When i record in real time (record enabled) it goes into recording but nothing happens.... like i said, everything midi is working fine (step entry, wait for midi note, etc.)all works fine just no real time midi recording...... Jesus christ, i just need to record one long sustaining note...... I can do it as an audio track, but, I want the damn midi note to show up as a midi note.....

no, ptlover, no notes record in real time, the track is empty when i stop recording....

Have you enabled the Korg as an input device (Setup > MIDI > Input devices)?

Is the MIDI input for the track set to a specific MIDI channel? If yes, try "All".
