Default *Sigh.*..help me someone!

I just installed the Digi001 on a VERY clean system (brand new)

AMD XP1600
2 x 512 SDRAM
40gig 7200 HDD
15gig 7200 HDD

Im getting those same "9092 9093 9129" or whatever errors...and have been looking through the forum on answers to those. Also, I was (until I formatted and started over) alot of "Visual C++ Runtime" Errors. For now, I guess I have 2 questions to help me solve the mess of problems Im having.

1)How much of an effect does having DMA turned on actually have?
2)Any one know if the SiS 735 chipset works (or works well) with the Digi001?

Thanks in advance, Ill post more about whats going on when I understand it a little more than "its not working right".

OK...take this corridor over there, make a left, then make a right. You'll see a green door. Next to it are stairs. Take those stairs, go to the first floor, make a right then a left; you'll see a tight corridor, take it; you'll end up in a small room with no light, you're there, it's the PC Forum.
Good luck...
