uuhhmmm, no idea , but won't it be able?? I mean,midi is supposed to have all these 16 channels so won't it be able to play 2 different patches?? Man Im telling ya, this is driving me insane

Ummm... what platform are you on? Mac or PC? Have you created your MIDI device (Triton LE) in MSS (MIDI Studio Setup)? Both .middev and .midnam are available as factory defaults. This will give you the ability to Patch select within Pro Tools, so you can play both drum kits (if available in the Triton LE Patch list) simultaneously. You select the Drum Patches and assign them to different MIDI tracks. Then you can edit the MIDI Data (performance) and once satisfied, you can print (record) those tracks to Audio.

Yes!!!!! that's all I needed to hear!, yeah I got a G5 powermac OSX tiger, so all the triton LE patches names are in there! so that means I can actually do what I had in mind!! well that's all for now, later today I'll be messing again with this, I don't know what time it is where you live but here in NYC is past 4:00am so I think I should get some sleep now thanks a bunch for all your help man,I'll be letting you know how everything goes.
