What about backup to a CDR? I have had them corrupted using Toast. Is there a more reliable way to get my session and files stored onto CDR?

this may not be the answer your looking for but... for me my backup is simple....extra IDE hard drives, I put em in rackmount sleds and im done. I probably have 40 - 50 hard drives in the vault at this point, point is the cost per meg has droped so much that my clients dont mind paying for the drive, actually better deal than 2 inch and well...compared to some other back up devices its actually cheaper and faster to use, I just hope the drives keep droping in price.

Does someone use retrospect with CDRW's? Is it a good solution?

This is something Im also trying to find the best solution for. My home studio has been getting busy lately and archiving about 20 gigs of data and also saving a second copy of all this to CDs is slow and painful. Im leaning toward the DAT DDS4 type drive. Any advice on the best models and prices?
Thanks
