Default Question about Apple Music.

in Itunes there used to be a setting "automatic play" when downloaded.
I can not find it in the Music App. Every time I download a sample somewhere from the internet Music opens up automatically. How can I stop this behaviour?

On a Mac, go to one of the files you downloaded, I'm guessing it is a .mp3, right click on the file, choose "Get Info". This will open a properties box. About half way down you will see a dropdown for "Open with", click the caret to open the dropdown and choose what application you want to open when you double click the file.

Try this. Go to Safari, Settings under the General Tab. Uncheck "Open Safe Files after Downloading."

As kargy said above plus one extra step:
Once you choose your preferred app (I still use QuickTime Player) click the "Change All" button below that popup menu. Then all mp3s will open with your choice or app. While you're at it you may want to go through those same steps with wav and aiff files.
