Default What are some of your favorite PC plug ins for PT?

It appears that some of the plug ins considered to be "the best" are still only available for Mac users. I'm speaking of the Mcdsp and Duy stuff among others. I know the Waves gold bundle is very popular, but it doesn't appear to have some of the "analog" sounding stuff that the Mcdsp and Duy sell. So what plugs are you pc guys using to fatten or "warm" up your tracks that might be comparable to the Mac only stuff??
Also, what are some of your favorite pc plug ins in general.
Thanks,
Steve

P.s. In case you haven't heard, the Sony Oxford eq is supposed to be released soon for xp. Yeehaa

Yep, I think the Renaissance EQ is excellent. Also, when I got my first system (v. 4.x? i think), I used a track through a typical setting on my Lexicon PCM 80 reverb, then tried to imitate it with the standard DVerb that came with Protools. In about 5 minutes, I had a match that was essentially indistinguishable from the Lexicon.

Hi

I'm considering upgrading from my LE setup to a TDM (not sure about what configuration yet); my question is, how's the situation plug-in wise for TDM in PC land? Is it the same as in LE where lots of stuff is Mac only or is there a reasonable amount of TDM plug-ins available?

Thanx

L.G.

Sorry for cross posting, but it seems appropriate... I received this email message from DUY on March 14, 2003 (a couple days ago).

Quote:
Dear Mark,

Thanks for your email.
At the moment we don't have immediate plans to port our plug-ins to Windows.
Thanks, however, for your kind interest.

Best regards,

Subject: DUY for Windows...

Do you have any plans to port the DUY plugs (RTAS and TDM) to the Windows platform?

Thanks!
Mark

My favourites are:

-Fairchild (drums,vocals)
-LA2A (bassguitar,kickdrums,!overdubbed vocals!)
-Pultec (my choice for vocals)
-Reverb One (good on almost anything)
-Joemeek EQ (great for that 70's drumsound!)
-Channelstrip SP (too bad pc has a stripped version...really like this one)
-Drawmer dynamics (the drumsubmix-asskicker!)

These are basicly the ones I mostly work with,..mostly

No "Sonic Crash-Trasher"-kinda plugins for me, thank you!

Hopefully I can add the Sony EQ and Dynamics to my favourites list as soon as it's available for XP;I heard so many great stories about 'em!

The only plugin for "warming up" on the PC platform at the moment seems to be

* Antares Tube * RTAS

(...yes, and Sony give good XP-signals since a couple of days...)
