20.3 On-line Bounce Crash

Any thoughts on why on-line bounce would crash, but off-line bounce is fine?

Recently installed 20.3 Ultimate. No prior bounce issues with last installed version. Project I attempted to bounce includes Routing Folders ... something obviously new.

On-line goes about 75% of the way and stalls. Pro Tools then crashes and spontaneously restarts ... but GUI never reappears and I have to kill with system tools (i.e., Task Mngr on Win 10 Pro.)

Restart and all is fine.

Off-line bounce no problem.

Hi friend !

Not shure why it is happening but a few ideas here.

Check your IO settings that are correct.

Check for any application in background running and kill any offending one since you are on windows.

Any new plugin installed recently or are all of them up to date ?

Hey, thanks for your suggestions!

I don't understand how it could be i/o if the session plays without hiccup and the off-line bounce is fine? I'd think i/o must be working.

Again, this confuses me if both playback and off-line bounce are stable?

All should be up to date, but I have installed a couple of Waves and Plugin-Alliance ones and an Acustica Acqua demo ... but none in this session. And of course, again, the mystery of stable playback and off-line bounce.

I guess I was hoping the fact that on-line bounce crashes and off-line bounce doesn't would point to some known issue.

Yeah but doesn't hurt to try tho. Offline and Online bounce are 2 different process so thinking about that im throwing ramdom ideas that maybe can help or maybe not .
