Default Dinosaur Help

Hi Ladies & Gentlemen,
I would like to call upon your expert knowledge for an animation series I am currently working on.

I have to create a library of T- Rex roars and screams etc, Jurassic Park style.

Any one got any bright ideas?

Thanks in advance,

Jim

Very cruel

You didn't mention what you'd already tried but if you haven't, get as many animal sounds together as you can, then with some judicious editing and some good plugs like Soundtoys Pitchblender/Purepitch, timestretch, pitch, mess with formants and mangle samples in general, layer and see what you have - its usually a good starting point. Don't forget to try your own voice to - I once recorded myself with a severe throat infection and got a good pitched wheeze from it, worked great for some monster breaths.

Looking at the title I thought this was a thread about Nubus systems.

I've used a varying mix of different animal, own voice and machines etc.

getting some good results (although my throat hurts a bit now!)
