Avis gave me a refund for the subscription.and I was able to get my perpetual license.

I did not. It happened two days before a long Christmas vacation, tons of stuff to finish up at work (overtime), and now gone from home, where my system is, for almost three weeks. I decided to just eat it. Thinking I may buy a used MacBook Pro next year and switch to Logic, anyway.

This also happened to me and its not cool how they carefully word it. (In my defense it was 4am) Its ********, came to give them the $99 bucks like all the other years they knife me for a hundo but this time they got my perpetual license and $199.00 i put out after i realized what i did and the took that i got nothing in return. My system is down and have a grip of work and i cant get a email or any human to call me back after multiple attempts. I'm livid and someone from Avid better get back to me with a fix in the next 24hrs. This is not how its done and this company is exposing itself for what is. This is not rocket science, hire Steven Slate to show you how to run your business.There are people making decisions that have know clue at what there doing. Squeezing every penny out of our pockets is not a mission statement, its a disaster.

Hi, I'm having the same problem. I purchased a perpetual license a few years ago and used it maybe 2-3 times a year. Sometimes I would not pay for the $100 support update when it would expire and then do it when I needed it again. Well, the last time I did it, I was switched to a subscription service. I've tried several times to reach someone through the chat and can't. I've sent in a support ticket months ago and zero response. I'm baffled by all of this. I paid $600 for a program I've only used a handful of times and was happy to pay the yearly $100's to maintain it, but now I have to pay $200-$300 a year and can't use my perpetual license? Please tell me there is a way I can get this back? I don't care if its not the latest greatest version. I'm a casual user and just thought it would be nice to own it for when I needed it on occasion but can't use it at all now. Please help. Thanks, Dustin
