Control 24 Line Input Too Hot
When I plug a professional quality line level signal in to my Control 24, the signal is way too HOT.
I purchased a used Control 24 and have the output sent to an Aurora 16, feeding my Pro Tools HD system. When I plug an output from my CD players (Tascam and HHB) or mic pre's line outputs, they are showing as overloading on the Control 24. It also looks like they are overloading on the input screen of the Aurora. When I plug the the same devices in to a regular analog line input on the Aurora 16, the level isn't overloading. Why does the Control 24 appear to be increasing the line level, rather then keeping it constant or allowing me to control it? I don't seem to be able to attenuate the level with the input gain knobs. Any thoughts or ideas on how I can address this and use the line inputs on the Control 24? Thanks in advance for help on this! |
