How To Control External Midi Gear
Hey All,
I'm running PT11 and am in the process of recording some songs. My guitar amp can be feed MIDI commands to control the various presets I have stored in it. While I do have a foot pedal I'm told I can have PT trigger the change, normally done with my foot pedal, from the PT track itself. Basically, within the guitar track, I want to change the presets within the amp while I'm playing. For me, it's a learning experience and will be one less thing I have to think about while I'm recording the track. Does anyone have experience with this and if so, any good how-to references that will aid me in the configuration? Thanks in advance! |

Re: How To Control External Midi Gear
That's a pretty simple project. You could make a midi track and output the notes to control patch changes on your amp. I would look into Bome Midi Translator, it has the virtual midi ports and connectivity that would make it really easy. Plus, it can run in the background with Pro Tools.
