DCC: Digitally Controlled Code

to me a DCA is a digitally controlled analog amplifier

in Pro Tools or any other completely digital system you are adjusting a varable in an algorthim

The VCA's on the Behringer x32 board that I have is actually called DCA's digitally controlled amplifiers

Exactly... thats what yamaha calls their digital VCA and has for years
