Default Help with Axiom Pro 49

I thought that the Axiom Pro 49 was supposed to automatically map to Pro Tools 8 but it does not.

I opened an 'Xpand2' window and it is a joke. The E controllers adjust random parameters in X pand that make no sense at all and the modulation wheel adjusts the master volume (along with E4)!

Who mapped this thing?

I thought that it was supposed to be logical and 'talking' with Pro Tools?

Are the MIDI Controllers Peripherals setup? Is HyperControl on the Axiom Pro set to Normal?

Thanks for the reply, yeah everything is working as it should, I'm just surprised at the pre programmed logic. e.g. page 1 in Xpand 2, someone chose some very odd parameters as default with the e controllers.

I guess I can use 'learn' to re program it the way I like.

I just wish too that Avid had put a little more thought into the general quality of the product.

The faders are cheap and the pitch bend and mod wheels are HORRIBLE! I used a MPK49 for a while and it felt very nice. It had killer wheels that felt more like playing an 'instrument' than pushing on a cheesy plastic thing!

Whilst in Plug-In Learn mode hold Start (Win) and assign plug-in parameters for custom plug-in map. Don't forget to export the map and set it as default.
