Midi Keyboard question

I have Mbox 2 Mini and Pro Tools LE 8. I'm connecting a casio ctk-451 (very old) midi keyboard via Midisport Uno 1x1. When I'm in pro tools, whether I do an instrument track or midi and aux tracks, all I hear is the keyboard. If I try to use xpand2 nothing happens. The thing is it recognizes that I have something midi hooked up, when I'm in an instrument track (or midi and aux) the scale moves. Yet, I can't record the sound or midi. So I'm not sure what I don't have hooked up correctly or if I'm explaining this correctly :). Definite newbie here. Thanks for any help that can be provided.
