PTLE8 no longer detects midi input from Digi002...

I've been plugging my midi controller right into my 002, and its been working fine up until now. But I've installed a sound card upgrade in my PC, and now the only midi source that PT8 detects is the sound card. It doesn't even give me the option of the Digi any more. But I don't want to use the sound card, I want to plug the controller into the Digi.

Any ideas about how to get PT8 to detect BOTH the Digi002 AND the M-Audio sound card, or even just the Digi?

I had a similar problem and tried many many things but only removing PT8 then reinstalling fixed it.
I removed everything (software, drivers) except the dongle PACE driver.
