WTF?

Structure deserves to be a paid upgrade for giga libraries? LOL, When, compared to other vsti samplers that can read/import multiple sampler formats, it should have been included in the first place. Emu's emulator x sampler has had this feature from version 1 of the software. Logic Exs, Halion, Kontakt; LOL omg; hysterical that this would even be entertained as a reason for a paid upgrade.

Ask RussUK to post a tutorial on his blog site explaining why added upgrading feature sets warrant payment.

Well it seems to have all worked out fine for Digi/Avid. They ignored it and it went away.

So they didn't need to care about their loyal customers after all.

I think partly because folks either bought it or not.. I know a few fellows that bit their lip and paid up. I, (and a few others), didn't. I have complained in here, sometimes loudly, about things I disagree with.. I've listened to avid saying they were listening and then watched as not much was done about anything.. I finally decided to do the only real thing I could do to protest.... I stopped buying from them. I have what I have and it's paid for. Anything else I have bought has been generic in the sense that I can use it on PT as well as most other platforms.

As far as RTAS only plugs that I have, I'm down to a few left.. I'll probably hang on to those because I like them. I've gone from being a customer to being a user. If avid can convince me to spend more money with them then good on 'em. If not, I don't lose anything more.

I am hopeful about the future of PT.. I just think it's going to take a long time.. If Reaper or Logic really decide to try and bury PT the industry will be better off for it.. avid will either step up or get left behind.. but the quality of product available to the customer will improve regardless.

Right now, I can bide my time and wait to see... a luxury that some DUC'ers don't have.

Personally, I hope avid gets it sorted.. and quickly. The time for listening has gone. It's time to act.
