Re: Sample Rate Mismatch! (clock 44.1, PT 48)
Yep, this is the way to fix the problem. . . you will see the setting to not do an SRC in the import dialog, same dialog where you select all the tracks.

Re: Sample Rate Mismatch! (clock 44.1, PT 48)
A stupid question: Cant you do this by deselecting the apply SRC from the import audio window?

Yes, but why do that when you can use Import Session Data and get your tracks back with all their settings intact?

Re: Sample Rate Mismatch! (clock 44.1, PT 48)
Any chance someone could explain how to do this in PT9?
I've had a long arduous day in the studio dealing with this problem! Tried importing into a new session. Didn't see the "convert SR" button. my device, session and audio are ALL at 48k! Nightmare! |

Re: Sample Rate Mismatch! (clock 44.1, PT 48)
If it's just a matter of correcting the SR of a single stereo bounce file, you can change the SR in Pro Tools Workspace. The bounce will appear as 48 in Workspace, but you can reassign SR to 44.1 from the Workspace window, and pitch and playback speeds will then be correct in programs like Snapper or other playback software.

Re: Sample Rate Mismatch! (clock 44.1, PT 48)
And what about if someone has done the reverse and needs to slow something down by the same amount where the session is already 48?
edit: That's why I use Samplitude - just type the new rate (52244.894) into Samp's batch convertor and away we go! Then avoid SRC at later stages, and let it play "wrong". |

Re: Sample Rate Mismatch! (clock 44.1, PT 48)
Hey All,
Im waking an old thread here… Ive had a song brought to me with what appears to be this same problem. When the foundation tracks are played they are not in key against what we need to add. If I import the files from a 48k session (what's been brought to me) into a new 44.1 without SRC the pitch works again but the tempo is real slow. I tried changing the headers in workspace but that didn't do anything. I'm running PT 11 What am I missing? It's been a long week and Im pretty fried… Thanks!
