Default basic monitoring guitar on mbox2 help...

hi, i have my electric guitar plugged into my mbox input 1.
When the mix knob on mbox is turned fully left, i can hear the guitar thru the speakers. Fine. But when i turn the mix knob to the right, fully, i cant hear no sound.

I understand turning the mix knob fully right is to hear playback from pro tools. I can see the levels in the virtual mixer in pro tools, but i cant hear any sound.

Ive tried auto input monitoring...input only option.....

I basically want to hear my guitar playing live through pro tools via amplitude plug in.......is this possible? Or do i have to record clean, with no plug ins on.....and THEN apply the amp plug in.

Thanks.

I don't think the plugins are the issue.

What about monitoring through a head set... do you hear everything else through them?

Great!

Just for the record... How old is this MBox 2 and how often have you been using it?

just bought the mbox2...2 hours ago...been using it for few minutes only!
brand new.

its happening again....... when mix is turned to right..... i cant hear sound...any sound....... but i can see levels in the plug in.......

and when i just tried to record.....i got an error saying..... increase CPU usage or lessen the number of plug ins using..........but im only using one plug in....... strange.......... (top spec macbook)

ive put an audio music file on a separate track for testing.....and same....no sound when mix turned to right........

What the heck is it with these units.... There is constantly issues with them.

I've been buying one for days and I keep holding off because all that I hear about these units on this forum.

It definitely is the case where more people are experiencing problems with the MBox 2 than those using it successfully.
