You Omni doesn't act that way.
And no for the MTRX Studio.
The signal needs to flow through the unit in both cases for the monitor controller to have an effect on it. So your speakers need to be hooked to it. Can't be another interface.

DADman can be controlled by other protocols than Eucon.
Eucon for DADman is done from the DADman application. Pro Tools doesn't know anything about it so the ICON will still work (you keep eucon off in Pro Tools still.)

Actually we do. Anyone who uses a MTRX today knows these answers for a few years.

^^ somebody knows

---

Is that space above the DigiLink mini connectors an IO expansion port? Or the narrow vertical slot to the left... could that be a Thunderbolt expansion slot? Or MADI expansion slot? ... somebody at NAMM please ask

Think this would be neat as a CoreAudio Thunderbolt 3 interface (and the flexibility to move between that and DigiLink).

According to the manual, the space above the two digilink connectors is for Optical MADI. Not sure what you mean by narrow slot on the left. I only see MADI, AES, and power.

If you get the Dante module, you can add Dante Virtual Sound Card running into your computer, and use that for any other audio software simultaneously with PT/digilink. It’ll be like having a separate audio interface.

Where's the actual I/O specification on the MTRX Studio? The comparison doesn't show detail of A/D D/A...

Still no detail specifications on the MTRX Studio I/O other than the I/O A/D D/A's are now 192khz and not 384khz as the MTRX.

In the words of Rolls Royce, adequate.

I don't know if there is anything meaningful to glean from converter specs in this class.

I guess people will buy anything these days without knowing what one is buying.

You’ve been trolling the forums for years. The last thread you started was “HDX or nothing”. Isn’t this “nothing” then? How are you going to hook a MTRX Studio up? You clearly don’t have an HDX or HDN card and refuse to buy one (trolling that one for years with made up info of an impending replacement.)

In 2011 you were speaking nonsense of DSD being “more professional”. Pro Tools is never going to support DSD. Aren’t you still on TDM and Pro Tools 10 (if that isn’t made up)? Now trolling for specs on more Avid hardware? As a non-buyer and constant Avid troll, how do the specs on an unreleased piece of hardware affect you? If you want DSD, since you want the professional format (/s), or 384kHz (another thing Pro Tools doesn’t do) you’ll want a DAD AX32... and a different DAW than Pro Tools.

I mean, are they going to list the specs and you’ll see THD+N at 0.000001% and you’ll just post “Oh Avid failed again since they couldn’t get THD+N to 0.0000001%”?

[Don’t worry, sometimes I look at my garage and think I’d buy 2 Ferrari 250 GTO if *only* I could find a matching pair in pristine condition.]

Yes happily. Haven't looked at detailed A/D/A specs in over a decade. I buy gear that performs a function I need. There is way too much obsessing over lab numbers.
