DAE error -199 encountered

I recently started getting the message "DAE error -199 encountered" instantly after attempting startup with on my G4 400. I've had absolutely no problems now with this system in my smaller studio for over a year and a half now. I'm going to try to trash all of the preferences and restart. Does anyone else have any ideas as to what this message means and of how to correct it?

There are 3 entries in the Answerbase when searching on -199, including this one that mentions the following:

In one case, a corrupted Pro Tools application was to blame. Replace it with a fresh copy from the Pro Tools CD-ROM.

You can take a look at the other 2 Answerbase entries, but I would start by replacing the Pro Tools application.
