Dual Computer Studio Setups

Hi

Anyone using dual computer setups for music production?

For example an HD Accel Rig with Expansion chassis running Pro Tools 10 on Mountain Lion, along with say Pro Tools 2018 or Ableton Live on a native system and doing all the VIs/Midi/Commits there and just slaving to the main Pro Tools HD system WC and AES to link audio back in.

I would be interested to hear if anyone is doing this, the pit-falls & tricks and how it's working out.

If you have a KVM for switching keyboard, monitor and mouse, the next issue is hardware control support.

I use an SSL Nucleus 2, which allows me to set up 3 different DAW's that I can switch between.
I run Sequoia on PC and Pro Tools Ultimate and Logic on my Mac.

It all works pretty smoothly.
