Leave Control 24 on?

Does the old transient argument apply to Control 24? Should it be turned off when not in use or is it better to leave it on?

I leave mine on 24/7 except on long weekends. Other than replacing the PS a couple of months ago (the old-style PS will fail eventually) there have been no issues. My PT rig + interfaces are powered down every evening, however.

Were you able to do the job yourself or did you have to send it out?

I did the replacement. It took about 3 hours. It is not hard as long as your comfortable opening it up and swapping connectors, removing and replacing the PS subassembly and three fader control boards, rerouting some wiring and closing it back up. Just follow the instructions. I built a lot of "Heathkits" back in the day, so it was kinda fun, saved time and $, and it actually worked!! Plus I removed the big round transformer and hung it up in the hall.
