Pro Tools still showing v10 after installing v12

Hi guys,

Hoping someone can help me here. I just updated and installed 12.4 from 10 on my mac. However the icon still says 10 and from what i see, nothings changed...? Is there something I'm missing or need to do further?

v12 is no "update" to v10 , it is a new parallel installation ,
check your app folder.....

Yeah I just found another "Pro Tools" that has no version number. When i opened it, I got a popup that says i need to purchase a license for it...? And that's $25 a month???

You already own a license, so don't have to pay monthly. Your Pro Tools Upgrade and Support Plan is still in your Products Not Yet Downloaded section of my.avid.com. Once you complete that, you'll be able to Activate your Pro Tools 10/11/12 bundle to your iLok2 and run PT12.

Also, installing Pro Tools 12 won't remove Pro Tools 10 (from Applications or your Dock) so you can manually move them in/out of the Dock as needed.

Here's the whole story. At the end of 2014, I purchased a Pro Tools 10/11 Bundle. I'm using v10 because at the time, I was on Mavericks. I am now on Yosemite still running 10. Today, my application manager said I had an update, v12.4. I installed and now it's saying I need a license, which is bull since I'm still within my upgrade period. And this whole monthly subscription deal is robbery. So is this basically what I need to do? Subscribe to get 12 to work?

Right, you don't need to subscribe since you own a perpetual license (just hadn't completed it yet).
