Default fAde shaPe and tRim buG in PT6

Do this to see what I mean . . .

**************part 1 **************************

1. Session with 2 audio regions.
2. Put a fade-in on each region (smart tool or D key) so that you have two fades with shapes derived from your prefs.
3. Select the fade-in on either region, call up the fade dialog with command-F and change to another fade shape.
4. Go to the other region and with the smart tool change the fade in length (either shorter or longer)

Result = the new fade will be the same shape as the one created in step 3.

**************part 2 **************************

1. Now place the cursor either in the fade-in or in the region and type "D" for fade in. The fade should still be the new shape.

2. With the trimmer make the fade shorter or longer

Result = the fade will revert to the shape in your prefs.

**********************************************

Same thing happens on fade outs as far as I can tell.

6.0.1 - 10.2.6 - Mix24

So is it that no one can duplicate this, or that no one cares to try?

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Hi Mr. Longo.
"D,F,G" keys always work off the Pref. settings.
I am not getting the reversion or change here.
Might not be getting your point on a bug.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">i love it when you call me Mr Longo, sonny.

The point is that after you use command-f one time then the following trims to other fades using the trimmer change shape as well as the one you purposely changed.

I've tried to eliminate all variables booted fresh with no haxies present and it always happens.

Did you try it carefully step by step?

If a couple more people would verify that they are not affected by this, I will start to wonder what else could cause it. Your system is practically identical to mine.

Thanks, Jim
