Mbox 1 with Garageband?
Hi....I gather that it is possible to use the original Mbox w/Garageband and have found info on the Digi download site that seems to confirm this. I'll be doing it w/o using PT software since my version is from the original Mbox era and believe it won't launch on my iBook 10.4.2.. Anyone done this? I'm only planning to mess around with this set-up 'til I can get some type of 003. Also, do you folks think that the mBox 1 is worth keeping for future use as a mobile option after I move on to the 003 or should I eventually go with a mBox mini? Thanks for any input.....

Re: Mbox 1 with Garageband?
The Mbox is still supported and still runs the latest software. There is nothing wrong with it. Preamps could be a whole lot better but what the hey... It's been around a couple of years and was cheap when it came out.
As for GarageBand, yes, it works fine. You might find the latency a bit annoying though if you want to record guitar or something (512 minimum). |
