You'd define the size when you're grabbing it.
If you use a finished movie, you could adjust the size in Quicktime-player (or many of the other players) and save it as a 'Self Contained' copy.

Arno called it -
you define the size of your quicktime movie in premier or whatever application your using. Remember that the suggested size for use with pro tools is 320X240. Pro Tools does not create the quicktime movie nor can you edit video or resize in pro tools - There are quite a few applications that can do that for you.

Is this really something that's that hard to implement? Give me a break. I'm not asking for a freaking Inferno here, just the ability to make the movie bigger (a feature that's available in practically every app in existence that uses quicktime). Sure I can use an external app, but it's far easier switch movie sizes with a key command - make it big when you need to see details better, make it smaller for general use.

The functionality is already in the quicktime API's. Is this just a case where digi has dropped the ball, or an intentional "crippling" of the product to try and herd users toward the AV options (which include this feature)?

In 5.1? Please? Please??
