Re: Comparison Chart
I don't know of a chart, but many of the differences in the software have been covered in several posts here on the DUC. A good search should yield several results.
here's one where I detailed some of the differences and another here. There are a few more differences now that have been detailed on the digi website regarding improvements/changes made in the move to 6.4 of the TDM software...such as ADC and individual channel Track Punching. There's a lot of material in those posts that you can disregard since coming from an HD rig, but the software differences should remain the same. My recommendation is to go ahead and get a 002 system...you'll find that some things are easier on LE than TDM while other things are available on TDM that don't exist in LE...being able to go easily between the two in order to put to use the advantages of each would be great.

Re: Comparison Chart
If you are will to sacrifice sound quality as well. All your audio processed in 002 will be degraded in 002 VS HD.

Re: Comparison Chart
I don't know what he's referring to either, unless it's got something to do with ADC or stock converters...hence the:

Re: Comparison Chart
Maybe he's referring to the fact that LE has a 32bit floatingpoint engine/mixer, whereas HD is 48bit fixed. Or that "most" tdm plugins sounds better than their rtas counterparts. Or that HD has a better clock, and better convertors... Maybe ?

Re: Comparison Chart
I'd prefer a 32 bit floating point system anyday to a fixed 48 bit...except that you need fixed bitdepth to and from dsp chips.
