Default how to unininstall 12.8.2 [solved]
I followed these instructions:
Mac HD/Applications/Pro Tools (app)
Mac HD/Library/Audio/MIDI Patch Names/Avid (folder)
Mac HD/Library/Application Support/Propellerhead Software/Rex (folder)
Mac HD/Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio (folder)
Mac HD/Users/home/Library/Preferences/Avid/Pro Tools (folder)
NOTES:
- The Audio folder contains "Plug-In Settings", "Plug-Ins" and "Plug-Ins (Unused)"
- Most 3rd Party Plug-Ins are also installed in this "Plug-Ins" folder. Please back up the folders or just move to your desktop if needed.


then installed 12.8.1 but it opens with 12.8.2. unless the 12.8.1 i downloaded is really 12.8.2 ???

then installed 12.8.1 but it opens with 12.8.2. unless the 12.8.1 i downloaded is really 12.8.2 ???
since you are on a Mac .. you can have both version installed !!! just need to change the name of each install .. ie: see pic

user error I kept deleting the avid folders in applications but not the app
