has nothing to do with groups. Just tracks routed to a sub group master using a buss.

I don't use Logic.

Make a video showing what you're talking about.

As for the downside, how do you solo a track that's feeding a subgroup without the subgroup processing?

It does have to do with groups because if you solo a bus in SIP mode, you don't hear the tracks going into it. Only way that happens is by creating a group including those tracks and the bus. Back to square one again.

You'd have to ask a Logic user.
