No license after upgrade from PT Express 10
Hi. I'm new to this forum and this is my first post. I've been using PT for a few years now (Windows) and I just today bought the Fast Track PT 10 Express package just to get the upgrade to 11/12 (cheapest way). I have followed all the instructions and entered the activation codes given to me. I even have all the software sitting in my account. The problem is I only have a license for PT 10 Express, not 12. I can see no way to get the license and I have done everything via the instructions. Do I actually need to install PT 10 Express?

Hey Scott, welcome to the community.
You don't have to install Pro Tools Express to upgrade, and I do see you have the Pro Tools Express license activated to your iLok2. Which specific Pro Tools Upgrade did you purchase? You should have received a redemption code, so is that code not working here?

Thanks for the quick reply jeffro; I got a Pro Tools Tier1 Upgrade activation card. The code worked fine on the activation and download page and I have all the software sitting there for me to download. I just didn't receive a license with it? I have downloaded and installed PT 12 but can't boot it up as my iLok only has the Express license.

Disregard!!
Problem solved; it seems I just had to wait 24 hours for avid to send me my licenses...just wish they had told me! Anyway...
