Default AudioSuite Plug-ins with a MIDI track?

I guess with age, they tell me I can expect more of this. For some reason I have forgotten how to apply an Audio Suite Plug-in to a MIDI track. With an Audio track it's a no brainer but for the life of me I can't get the MIDI track to process. I get a "No Audio Selected" message every time I try to process or preview a MIDI track. The sad part of this is I have done this before! Age sucks! thank you, jim

You cannot have done this before (at least not with Pro Tools) as it is not possible. It is possible to use RTAS (Real Time Audio Suite) plugins on the output of whatever sound module you are using, but you cannot process the actual midi track.

In versions of PT above 7, you can also apply MIDI Real Time Properties (not effects) that include Quantize, Duration, Delay (this is not the effect delay, but the property delay), Velocity and Transpose.

But using Audiosuite plugins to process MIDI tracks is not possible.

Whew!! what a relief am not losing it after all. I guess I must have processed an audio track and thought it was a midi track. Of course I played with this for a week before getting the nerve to post the question. Thank you
