Mbox (original) LE 6.9.2 control problems

Hello everyone,

I am having issues getting ProTools to control my Fantom X-6. All I want it to do right now is just play and stop when ProTools does.

I have a MOTU 2x2 interface. I set it up in Audio MIDI Setups and tested it to ensure that it was connected correctly (and jumped 100 feet when it played everything at the same time loudly!!). In ProTools, I have MIDI Beat Clock set to transmit to both the interface and the keyboard (I have tried checking just one, and checking neither). I have Click enabled, and I unchecked MIDI Thru.

On the Fantom, in the Sync section, I have tried every combination in the Sync/Tempo menu. I've tried, Remote, Slave-MTC, Slave-MIDI, and nothing works. Everything I read in the manual I tried but it didn't do it (it would say things like Tip: if you want something else to control the fantom, set it to this).

Can anyone offer any help?

BTW, when I have the Fantom set to Master and have the MIDI plugged into the Fantom's Out and the interface's In, when I hit play and stop it will control ProTools just fine. I just don't want this because I have the Fantom controlling another device (Emu Mo'Phatt)


Any help would be so much appreciated, because I'm getting frustrated and feel like I'm trying the same things over and over again.
